The Problem: "Proposal Fatigue"
Upwork is a goldmine, but digging is exhausting. Our client, a CTO of a dev shop, was spending 20+ hours a week refreshing job feeds and writing custom proposals.
Most of their proposals were ignored because by the time they hit "Submit," 50 other agencies had already applied. They were competing on speed and losing.
The Strategy: The "Sniper" Framework
We built a custom automation to alert the client via Slack the second a job matching their criteria (Budget $5k+, Payment Verified, Keyword: "React/Node") was posted.
The Proposal Template
We ditched the "We are a team of experts..." intro. Instead, we used this structure:
1. Rephrase their problem to show understanding.
2. Provide a mini-plan of action.
3. Link to ONE relevant case study.
The Results
In week 3, they landed a $17k MVP build for a Fintech startup.
Client Testimonial
"The proposal framework changed everything. Clients tell us we're the only ones who actually read their job post. I finally have my weekends back."
